WWE superstar Naomi, who claimed the Women’s World Championship at Summerslam 2025 earlier this month , relinquished her title on a recent episode of WWE Raw.
Noami won the championship by beating Ivo Sky and Rhea Ripley in the triple threat match at the biggest party of the summer. Although her reign only lasted a fortnight, it ended not due to an unfortunate event but because she had entered a special phase in her life.
Why did Naomi vacate WWE Women’s World title?
In an emotional segment, hosted by WWE general manager Adam Pearce, the 37-year-old addressed the WWE universe at the recent Monday Night Raw, and shared the joyful news that she is expecting her first child with husband and fellow WWE superstar Jimmy Uso.
In the final formality to vacate the title, Naomi placed her prized possession in the center of the ring, and vowed to return to the ring after maternity leave and reclaim the championship. Fans present at the Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia also got involved in the segment and began chanting “baby USO”.
“This isn’t the end. I’ll be back to take over again,” she said.

With Naomi sidelined for at least nine months due to her pregnancy, WWE must now crown a new Women’s World Champion. Rhea Ripley, a prominent figure in the championship scene, and former champion Iyo Sky are the favorites to win the vacant title. However, Raquel Rodriguez could also be added to the mix as a potential contender.
