Shane Watson continued his imperious form at the World Twenty20 by smashing 70 runs after taking two wickets to propel Australia to a crushing eight-wicket win over South Africa in their Super Eights match on Sunday. Watson hit two sixes and eight boundaries from 47 balls as Australia moved into a strong position to advance to the semifinals. South Africa made a modest 146-5 in its 20 overs after being sent in to bat by Australia captain George Bailey. Australia chased down the target with 14 deliveries to spare.
