McCullum: It was a sublime innings. I will never forget it. The way the team is structured allows me a bit of license at the start. Some days it comes off, some days it doesn’t, but that’s the way it is. We need to play aggressive cricket to compete with the world’s best sides, and I am sure the crowd is enjoying the way we are playing. We wanted to make a real statement on the back of Guptill’s innings, and that’s what we did with the ball and in the field. (On being asked about Vettori’s catch) – Oh I didn’t give Dan a chance. You saw the reaction from the boys, the way the boys ran from all over the field. (On being asked if this is the best New Zealand team ever) – It’s pretty hard to compare eras. Some outstanding eras, but certainly among teams I have played in, this is the best. No disrespect to the legends of the past, but I am pretty happy with the current team.

Holder: We were in the game until the 35th over. Guptill played brilliantly but we put him down very early and that cost us. It was a difficult, a set batsman in the end was very difficult. We didn’t hit our yorkers as well. It’s been a challenge coming from South Africa where we lost 4-1. It has been an up and down tournament for us. It’s about learning quickly. You have to sit down and think over it. Of course, I would like to keep the job. That’s something I always wanted to do as a youngster.

Man of the Match – Guptill: We had a couple of good partnerships early, which set the game up. We were trying to take each ball as it comes and just build a partnership. After I got the hundred, I just thought I should probably hit a few boundaries. This is the quickest outfield I have played on here. The crowd was Incredible. A step-up from the England game. It hasn’t really sunk in and there is still work to do so can’t dwell on it (237*) so much.
That’s it! New Zealand crush West Indies by 143 runs. West Indies 250 all out!
OUT! Holder holes out to long off off Vettori.
Holder smacks a pull over mid-wicket for a boundary. Benn then goes for a wild swing and gets an inside edge past the leg stump for a streaky four. He then smashes one over mid on for another four. But Holder holes out to long off in the next over. At least, West Indies have overtaken Guptill’s score.

Holder is absolutely smacking them. He hammers a pull through mid-wicket, then lofts one over mid on and then cracks one over extra cover for 3 consecutive fours. 16 runs off the over.

After 15 overs, West Indies 115/4 (Gayle 60, Carter 9)
Gayle is playing one-dimensional cricket. Another six over deep mid-wicket makes it 59 of his 60 runs in that leg side area. A good comeback from Milne as he concedes just one run after that six.

After 13 overs, West Indies 108/4 (Gayle 53, Carter 9)
A good start from Milne. He ramped up good pace. Apart from that poor deliver down the leg side be was good with his lines. 7 runs off the over.
FIFTY for Gayle!
He’s fighting a lone battle. He gets to hsi fifty from just 26 balls. 7 sixes and two fours in his innings so far. He brings up his fifty with a trickle to fine leg for a boundary.
Adam Milne into the attack now.
After 12 overs, West Indies 101/4 (Gayle 48, Carter 8)

After 11 overs, West Indies 92/4 (Gayle 48, Carter 0)
Meanwhile, Gayle is going berserk at the other end. It’s jsut stand and deliver stuff. He pulls it over deep mid-wicket for a six off Southee and then hammers Southee over long on for a massive maximum. 12 runs off the over.

OUT! Boult gets 2nd wicket in the over! D Ramdin lbw b Boult 0 (4b 0x4 0x6), After 9.5 overs, West Indies 80/4 (Gayle 36)
Brilliant bowling. After cooming from over the wicket for three balls to Ramdin, Boult comes from round the wicket. Delivers it full on off and angling in. Ramdin comes forward for a prod but misses and gets hit on the pads. The umpire lifts his finger on the appeal. What a spell this is turning out to be.
Jonathan Carter is the new batsman.
OUT! Vettori snaps a ripper! What a catch! M Samuels c Vettori b Boult 27 (15b 3×4 1×6), After 9.1 overs, West Indies 80/3 (Gayle 36)
Short outside off from Boult, Smauels slashes at it but gets a thick outside edge, it seems as if it’s flying over third man but Vettori leaps in the air and plucks a one-handed catch out of thin air. The entire NNew Zealand team rushes to hug him. What a catch from the veteran.
Denesh Ramdin is the new batsman.
After 9 overs, West Indies 80/2 (Gayle 36, Samuels 27)
Samuels on fire now. He crashes one through covers for a four and then heaves one over mid-wicket for another. He then gets an inside edge past the stumps for a streaky couple. The next one is smashed over wide logn off for a six. Southee responds with a bouncer and Samuels goes for a pull but gets a top edge over the keeper for another four. Southee ends the over with a good yorker for just a single. 21 runs off the over.
After 8 overs, West Indies 59/2 (Gayle 36, Samuels 6)
Good contest between bat and ball. Boult cramps Samuels for room and gives him just a single off first four balls. Gayle then smashes Boult over long on for a six. After a wide, Boult respnds with a fiery yorker and Gayle somehow gets some bat onto it. The umpire turns down the LBW appeal. 8 runs off the over.
After 7 overs, West Indies 51/2 (Gayle 30, Samuels 5)
Gayle on the charge now. After three singles. He heaves one over mid-wicket for a six, then goes over deep square leg for another and then goes over long leg for three consecutive sixes. Gayle can’t run and hence it’s all a stand and deliver stuff. 21 runs off the over.
Daniel Vettori into the attack now.
After 6 overs, West Indies 30/2 (Gayle 11, Samuels 3)
Brilliant comeback from Boult. He could have had Samuels’ wicket too and then the Kiwis could have had the wicket of Gayle. Boult is hit for a six and he hits back to remove Simmons. He then bowls a back of a length delivery to Samuels, it spits off the surface and catches the shoulder o Samuels’ bat. It flies over the slip cordon and safely to the third man fielder. Gayle then pushes one wide of mid off and sets off for a single, he can hardly run, McCullum misses hsi shy at the non-striker’s end. Gayle had given up. 9 runs and a wicket off the over.
OUT! Boult gets his 2nd wicket! L Simmons c Guptill b Boult 12 (17b 1×4 1×6), After 5.3 overs, West Indies 27/2 (Gayle 11)

Marlon Samuels is the new batsman.
After 5 overs, West Indies 21/1 (Gayle 11, Simmons 6)
West Indies upping the ante now. Simmons lofts one over mid off for a boundary. Gayle then gets into the act and pulls one flat over deep mid-wicket for a six. He then hammers it over mid on for a boundary. 15 runs off the over. Good clean hitting.
After 4 overs, West Indies 6/1 (Gayle 1, Simmons 1)
A pretty good over from Boult. He’s sticking to the full length. Smiions is middling them well but not finding gaps. He cracks one through backward point but it goes towards the third man fielder for just one. Just that single off the over.
After 3 overs, West Indies 5/1 (Gayle 1, Simmons 0)
Southee bowling good lines and getting some good movement. He’s changed his lengths well. There is a big shout for a cuaght behind against Gayle but the umpire turns it down. The Kiwis are confident and opt for a review, the snicko shows nothing. New zealand waste their review. But Gayle looks uncomfortable out in the middle.
After 2 overs, West Indies 4/1 (Charles 3, Gayle 1)
A brilliant ove from Boult. He got the inswing going and troubled Simmons too. A wicket maiden.
OUT! Poor, poor shot froM Charles! J Charles b Boult 3 (6b 0x4 0x6), After 1.2 overs, West Indies 4/1 (Gayle 1)
One of the poorest shots of the tournament. Charles charges out, then steps away and looks to crack it through the off side but Boult clevery bowls it full and it’s swinging in. Charles misses it completely and the off stump is uprooted.
Lendl Simmins is the new batsman.
After 1 over, West Indies 4/0 (Charles 3, Gayle 1)
A good first over from Southee. Charles going after the bowling fromt he word go. Tries a couple of heaves but mistimes them, one to the fielder and other for a couple. Gayle pulls one to deep square leg for a single.
Right! Back after the break. Johnson Charles and Chris Gayle are the openers. Tim Southee will start off proceedings for the Kiwis.

He then crashes one through point for a boundary. 20 runs off the last over. The Kiwis hammered 206 runs in the last 20 overs, absolute carnage.

After 49 overs, New Zealand 373/5 (Guptill 217, Vettori 8)
A wicket in the over but just doesn’t matter. Four fours in the over make it 16 from the over. Two fours by Ronchi and two from Vettori. This is an absolute carnage.
OUT! Taylor removes Ronchi! L Ronchi c Benn b Taylor 9 (5b 2×4 0x6) , After 48.4 overs, New Zealand 365/6 (Guptill 217)

OUT! A very good cameo comes to an end! G Elliott lbw b Taylor 27 (11b 2×4 2×6), After 46.3 overs, New Zealand 333/5 (Guptill 194)
Elliott shuffles way across, and looks to scoop. Taylor bowls it full on off, Elliott misses his wild swing and gets hit on the pads. The umpire raises hsi finger on the appeal. It looks plumb to the naked eye. Elliott has a word with Guptill and takes a review, replays show it was plumb so the onfield call stays. But a brilliant little cameo of 27 from 11 balls comes to an end.
Luke Ronchi is the new batsman.

After 46 overs, New Zealand 328/4 (Guptill 193, Elliott 23)
After a couple of singles, Guptill flicks it through square leg for a boundary, he surpasses his highest ODI score and moves into 190s. Elliott joins the party as he heaves one over deep square leg for a six and follows up with a pull over deep mid-wicket for consecutive sixes. 19 runs off the Russell over. Poor bowling, Poor fielding, absolute poor cricket from West Indies.
After 45 overs, New Zealand 309/4 (Guptill 188, Elliott 10)
Holder comes from round the wicket and bowls it full on the pads, Guptill heaves it over deep mid-wicket and just over Benn for a six. He overtakes Glenn Turner to possess the highest individual score by a Kiwi at the world Cup. Elliott then pulls one to deep mid-wicket where Charles makes a mess of it and gives away a boundary. Absolutely pathetic fielding. A top edge over the keeper fetches Elliott three. Guptill then goes berserk with a couple of huge sixes, one over deep mid-wicket and one over deep cover. 27 RUNS OFF THE OVER! The ghosts of bowlng to de Villiers are back again!
After 44 overs, New Zealand 282/4 (Guptill 169, Elliott 3)
A very good over from Russell considering the circumstances. Four runs and a wicket off it. West Indies need wickets at regular intervals. Guptill is still there on 169 and they need to get rid of him as soon as possible.

Anderson on the attack. Short ball from Taylor, Anderson pulls it over deep square leg for a six and then lofts it over mid off for a well controlled boundary. He then takes a single to mid off before Russells loses his line and bowls a wide. Guptill then flicks it to deep square leg and there is a misfield which gives the Kiwis an extra run. Carter the culprit. Russell ends well with a yorker but the damage has already been done. 15 runs off the over.

After 41 overs, New Zealand 247/3 (Guptill 150, Anderson 3)
Guptill brings up his 150! What an innings he’s playing. He gets down and slog sweeps it over square leg for a boundary. He then takes a single to get to his 150 and gets a standing ovation. 7 runs off the over. West Indies have done well to concede just 14 runs in the last two overs.
After 40 overs, New Zealand 240/3 (Guptill 145, Anderson 2)
Holder brings himself on and starts off with a poor delivery. Short and wide outside off and Guptill slashes it over point for a boundary. Anderson then leaves one alone – not a sight we often see in the 40th over – he then punches one through covers for a couple to make it 7 runs fromt he over. 53/1 in the Batting Powerplay, a good one for the Kiwis.
After 39 overs, New Zealand 233/3 (Guptill 140, Anderson 0)
A successful over for West Indies. Guptill looked ominous with a huge six over long off off Benn but the wicket of Taylor slowed down proceedings. 8 runs and a wicket off it.
OUT! Another wicket against the run of play. R Taylor run out 42 (61b 2×4 0x6), After 38.3 overs, New Zealand 232/3 (Guptill 140)
West Indies might be relieved. After hitting a huge six, Guptill misses his sweep, the ball pops up to the leg side, Taylor is already within handshaking distance of Guptill who sends him back. The keeper charges forward and throws it to Benn who clips the bails off. Taylor is found way short. A wicket at a crucial juncture for West Indies. The pair had problems with running the wickets and this was coming.
Corey Anderson is the new batsman.
After 38 overs, New Zealand 225/2 (Guptill 133, Taylor 41)
Guptill is looking ominous. He heaves a full delivery over mid-wicket for a four, then thumps one down the ground for a quick couple and then flicks one nonchalantly over deep square leg for a six. He then lofts one over mid on for a boundary. Wonderful shots. West Indies need to bowl more yorkers else Guptill can take it away from them. 16 runs off the over.
Taylor back into the attack, probably a bit too late?
After 37 overs, New Zealand 209/2 (Guptill 117, Taylor 41)
Guptill on the attack. He at frst sweeps it behind square leg for a well placed boundary and then cuts it wide of short third man for another one. He then takes a single to make it 9 runs from the over. Benn hasn’t got his lengths right so far and gone for 51 from 8 overs which includes a maiden.
Benn back into the attack now…
After 36 overs, New Zealand 200/2 (Guptill 108, Taylor 41)
Taylor and Guptill have started the damage process. Taylor cuts one through backward point for a four to bring up the 100-run stand and then Guptill smashes it over deep mid-wicket for a huge 101 m six. A single off the last ball makes it 13 runs from the over. The 200 comes up too.

After 35 overs, New Zealand 187/2 (Guptill 100, Taylor 36)
Guptill gets to his century and then Taylor finally gets his first boundary off the 56th ball that he faces. 8 runs off the over. It’s Batting Powerplay time now and the Kiwis would be looking to go all out with wickets in hand.
CENTURY for Guptill!
Guptill becomes the first Kiwi to score back-to-back hundreds in World Cup. 100 off 111 balls with 12 fours. He’s played some fabulous drives in this innings. He would be looking to attack in the Batting Powerplay now.
After 34 overs, New Zealand 179/2 (Guptill 97, Taylor 30)
There’s still a problem with running between the wickets between these two. Earlier, Guptill had problems with Williamson. This time Guptill pushes it to point, sets off for a single and is caught ball watching, Taylor comes half way down but then charges back, Guptill too gets back into his crease as the throw comes in. Four singles off the over. Guptill moves on to 97…….
After 33 overs, New Zealand 175/2 (Guptill 95, Taylor 29)
Guptill moves into the 90s with a lovely straight drive for a four off Samuels. Tree singles followed by a brisk two make it 9 runs from the over. Just what the Kiwis needed. They need more such overs now.
After 32 overs, New Zealand 166/2 (Guptill 89, Taylor 26)
Taylor struggling to get a move on. Just two singles and a wide off the over. Off the 49 balls he has played out 26 dot balls. He is 26 off 49 balls. He needs to get up the ante somehow.
After 31 overs, New Zealand 163/2 (Guptill 88, Taylor 25)
Guptill nearly throws it away. After just one run off the first three balls, Guptill moves down the track and looks to go downtown but mistimes it to long on, it falls tantalisingly short of Taylor. Guptill thought it was curtains the moment he hit the ball but to his relief, the ball dropped short of the fielder. 3 runs off the over.
After 30 overs, New Zealand 160/2 (Guptill 86, Taylor 24)
Finally, a boundary after ges. After a leg bye off the first five balls. Sammy strays a bit on the pads, Guptill flicks it through mid-wicket and it races away to the fence. What timing! 5 runs off the over.
After 29 overs, New Zealand 155/2 (Guptill 82, Taylor 24)
Guptill finally shows some form and late cuts the first ball past short third man for three off Samuels. Another 3 singles off the next five balls make it 6 runs from the over.
After 28 overs, New Zealand 149/2 (Guptill 78, Taylor 22)
Good over from Sammy. Just the three singles in that over.
After 27 overs, New Zealand 146/2 (Guptill 76, Taylor 21)
Good stuff from Taylor and Guptill in that over. 6 singles off it. That’s what they need to do, take as many singles in an over as possible if not going for a boundary. Earlier, there were just 2 or 3 singles in an over.
After 26 overs, New Zealand 140/2 (Guptill 73, Taylor 18)
New Zealand has slowed down a bit and dealing in just singles. Just two runs off the Sammy over. The 50-run stand has also come up. These two have steadied the ship well so far.
After 25 overs, New Zealand 138/2 (Guptill 72, Taylor 17)
A good comeback from Samuels after being hit for 9 runs in his last over. He gets his lengths right this time and conceded just three singles.
After 24 overs, New Zealand 135/2 (Guptill 71, Taylor 15)
After three singles off first five balls, Taylor flicks one behind square leg for three. 5 runs off the over. Kiwis in cruise control here. West Indies need a wicket.

After 23 overs, New Zealand 130/2 (Guptill 69, Taylor 12)
Too short, too wide and you will be punished by Guptill who is lookign ominous. After 4 runs off the first four balls, Samuels drops another one short, Guptill cuts it powerfully through point for a boundary and then follows up with a single to long on. 9 runs off the over.
Marlon Samuels into the attack now…
After 22 overs, New Zealand 121/2 (Guptill 61, Taylor 11)
Four singles off the Sammy over but off the last ball, Guptill hit one uppishly to long off. Don’t know what he was trying to do. It was mistimed and a risky shot.
Martin Guptill just played a pull shot off the front foot, a cut shot off the front foot then a straight drive off the back foot.
— Michael Wagener (@Mykuhl) March 21, 2015
Darren Sammy into the attack now.
After 21 overs, New Zealand 117/2 (Guptill 59, Taylor 9)
New Zealand finally upping the ante. Benn missing his lengths completely. Guptill at first gets down and sweeps it to long leg for a boundary. Benn then drifts one onto Taylor’s pads who trickles it to fine leg for three. Benn then drops it short and Guptill smacks it through point for a boundary. 12 runs off the over.
After 20 overs, New Zealand 105/2 (Guptill 50, Taylor 6)
A good over from Russell. He didnt’ bowl too many short deliveries in the over. He bowled stump to stump. There were four dots off the first four deliveries. The last two balls yield two singles.
FIFTY for Guptill!
He’s carried forward his form from the Bangladesh match. A century and now a fifty. 7 fours in his innigns so far. He started off in a breezy manner but then calmed down and has played some wonderful shots.
After 19 overs, New Zealand 103/2 (Guptill 49, Taylor 5)
Good cricket from New Zealand in that over. Four singles off the first five balls. Benn then drops the last one short, Guptill smacks it through point for a boundary to make it 8 runs from the over. 100 comes up for New Zealand. Guptill moves on to 49 now…..
After 18 overs, New Zealand 95/2 (Guptill 43, Taylor 3)
Three singles off the first five balls, Russell then darts in a yorker, Guptill somehow digs it. The ball bounces onto the turf and pops up over the stumps. Guptill shows good presence of mind and deflects the ball away with his bat. And again good awareness and he takes a quick single on the overthrow.
After 17 overs, New Zealand 91/2 (Guptill 41, Taylor 1)
Benn has settled into a good rhythm. He’s bowling good middle and off lines and is proving to be difficult to get away. Just two runs off the over.
After 16 overs, New Zealand 89/2 (Guptill 40, Taylor 0)
Russell has struck to get the big wicket of Williamson. Russell has bowled a front foot no ball earlier but Williamson couldn’t get away the Free Hit. He departs the very next ball. 3 runs and a wicket off the over.
OUT! Russell gets a big wicket! KS Williamson c Gayle b Russell 33 (35b 5×4 0x6), After 16 ovrs, New Zealand 89/2 (Guptill 40)
A tad short outside off, a slower one. Williamson stays back and smashes it straight to extra cover where Gayle juggles but manages to hold on to it. A wicket completely against the run of play.
Ross Taylor strides out to the middle.
Close call, but Williamson survives the review. #NZ 1-86 (15).

After 15 overs, New Zealand 86/1 (Guptill 39, Williamson 32)
Benn finally gettng some control. He at first has an LBW shout turned down against Guptill and then again off Williamson. In the second case, they decide to review it but replays show it was clipping leg and was an Umpire’s call. Benn was disappointed with the decision and had a word with the umpire. 4 runs off the over. Benn bowling good lengths now. He was a tad short earlier.
After 14 overs, New Zealand 82/1 (Guptill 37, Williamson 30)
Russell resorting to short stuff. Williamson is confident with his short deliveries as he pulls one to deep square leg for a single. Russell then troubles Guptill with a short delivery but then Guptill does well to tuck one behind square for a single. 4 singles off the over.
6 runs an over after13 they r scoring too quickly we don't want to chase over 300 but looks like that is going to be d case. #NZvWI #CWC15

After 13 overs, New Zealand 78/1 (Guptill 35, Williamson 28)
A very good over from Benn. A maiden. West Indies can pick up wickets by chokng the scoring and Benn has done a good job here.
After 12 overs, New Zealand 78/1 (Guptill 35, Williamson 28)
Williamson is quick to latch on to bad deliveries. Russell at first bowls it full otuside off, Williamson looks to drive but gets an outside edge to third man for a couple. Russell then drops it short and Williamson pulls it over mid-wicket for a boundary. The rest four are dots. 6 runs off the over.
Andre Russell into the attack now.
After 11 overs, New Zealand 71/1 (Guptill 34, Williamson 22)
Benn missing his lines and lengths and getting punished. After a couple of singles, he bowls a low full toss, Guptll drives it through covers for a boundary. Benn follows up with two wides but then bowls three dots. 8 runs off the over.
After 10 overs, New Zealand 63/1 (Guptill 29, Williamson 21)
Williamson is playing some classy shots. Off the second ball, he stands tall and punches it through point for a boundary. What balance and class! He then cuts one powerfully to point where a misfield allows them a single. Guptill then takes a quick single to mid on. 6 runs off the Holder over.
After 9 overs, New Zealand 57/1 (Guptill 28, Williamson 16)
Good cricket from the Kiwis. The first ball is short outside off, Guptill cuts it through point for a boundary. They take no more risks as they follow up with four singles off the next four balls. 8 runs off the over.
Spin for the first time as Benn comes into the attack…..
After 8 overs, New Zealand 49/1 (Guptill 22, Williamson 14)
Finally, an over without a boundary. Holder bowled good lines in that over. He was a tad short off the fifth delivery and Guptill punches it through covers for three. Just those three runs off the over.
After 7 overs, New Zealand 46/1 (Guptill 19, Williamson 14)
Taylor not getting his lines right. He’s overpitching it and Williamson is responding with lovely drives. He at first drives it straight back past Taylor for a boundary and then flicks it sublimely through mid-wicket for another. Taylor then shortens his length a bit and Williamson slashes at it but it flies wide of the slip cordon for the third boundary of the over. 12 runs off the over, a good one for New Zealand.
After 6 overs, New Zealand 34/1 (Guptill 19, Williamson 2)
There is a bit of problem in running between the wickets between Williamson and Guptill. A lot of hesitation while taking singles. Williamson survives a run out off the first ball as the fielder misses the direct hit at the striker’s end. Williamson is caught ball watching at times. 3 singles off the over.
Holder continues.
31 off the first 5 is the lowest #NZ have scored this world cup. #NZvWI

After 5 overs, New Zealand 31/1 (Guptill 18, Williamson 0)
Brilliant over from Taylor. 4 runs and a wicket of McCullum. Guptill punche one through point for a boundary but Taylor beats him the very next ball with an outswinger.
OUT! Holder takes a brilliant catch! McCullum departs. B McCullum c Holder b Taylor 12 (8b 1×4 1×6), After 4.2 overs, New Zealand 27/1 (Guptill 14)
A tad full outside off, McCullum stays in his crease and looks to go downtown but ends up miscuing high in the air, Holder from mid off runs backwards, makes up a lot of ground, outstretches his hands and pouches a splendid catch. Brings back memories of Kapil Dev’s catch to dismiss Viv Richards in 1983 World Cup. A big wicket for West Indies.
Kane Williamson is the new batsman.
After 4 overs, New Zealand 27/0 (Guptill 14, McCullum 12)
McCullum into the act now. Holder drifts one onto his pads, McCullum whips it behind square for a powerful boundary. Holder then drops one short, McCullum pulls it over deep square leg for a flat six. A single off the penultimate ball makes it 11 from the over.
After 3 overs, New Zealand 16/0 (Guptill 14, McCullum1)
Guptill playing some lovely shots. It’s overpitched from Taylor, Guptill drives it straight back past the bowler for a boundary. The next one is very full, Guptill again responds with a crisp straight drive for back-to-back fours. Taylor hits back with length deliveries and Guptill is cautious in his approach. 8 runs off the over.
West Indies have taken the most wickets within the first 10 overs of the innings in this WC: 15. Shared between Taylor 8 & Holder 7

After 2 overs, New Zealand 8/0 (Guptill 6, McCullum1)
Good cricket from New Zealand. Guptill pushes one to covers and scampers through for a single. McCullum then takes another quick single. Good urgency shown in taking quick singles and rotating strike. Guptill then goes for a booming drive but gets an outside edge to third man for a single. 3 runs off the over.
Neither West Indies or me are fully awake.

After 1 over, New Zealand 5/0 (Guptill 4, McCullum 0)
Well, well, a lively start to the match. Guptill starts off in style as he drives the first ball of the innings straight down the ground for a four. Samuels then DROPS Guptill who flicks it straigh to square leg and Samuels fails to hang on to it. A let off for the last match centurion Guptill. A leg bye off the last ball makes it five runs off the over. Taylor got good movement in the over but he was unlucky.

The New Zealand openers – brendon McCullum and Martin Guptill have made their way out to the middle. Meanwhile, Curtly Ambrose, as always, has an animated chat with the West Indies players before they walk out to the middle.
Right! The players have made their way out for the National Anthems.
