United States of America edged out Ghana 2-1 in a thriller last night. It was Clint Dempsey’s sensational early goal that lit up Arena das Dunas in Natal. Ghana then launched wave out of wave of attack before equalising in 82nd minute via Andre Ayew. Five minutes later USA’s John Anthony Brooks scored the most important goal as he headed in from the centre of the box to power USA to a victory. It was Demsey’s goal that set the tone of the match. He became the first USA player to score in three World Cups. We’ve seen some brilliant goals so far in the tournament and Dempsey’s goal was right among one of the best. It was a beautiful solo goal as he dazzled and dribbled past the defenders at lightening speed on the left and scored a splendid solo goal.
It was Demsey’s goal that set the tone of the match. He became the first USA player to score in three World Cups. We’ve seen some brilliant goals so far in the tournament and Dempsey’s goal was right among one of the best.
