When Pakistan cricket legends Imran and Wasim clicked a 'selfie of epic proportions'

Pakistani cricket legends  Imran Khan and Wasim Akram go back a long way. Imran was Wasim's captain when they took Pakistan to a memorable World Cup victory in 1992 and the fast bowler has always credited Imram with teaching him the nuances of the game.

So it comes as no surprise that when these two legends meet, it is a moment to capture and possibly reminisce about the good old days.

Wasim Akram tweeted a selfie of the two players along with their better halves, Reham Khan and Shanirea Akram on Thursday night saying that he had a great time along with #PakZindabad.

The tweet was followed with some friendly banter between Mrs. Khan and Mrs. Akram with both calling each other 'Bhabhi' (Sister-in-law).

Imran Khan then posted the 'selfie of epic proportions' on his Facebook page as well, which Wasim promptly shared. The post read, "It's so good to see two of our cricketing heroes retain that bond even after 23 years; something so special about the fact that Wasim Bhai still refers to Kaptaan as "skip". Good to see the old comrades and their wives having some laughs together. A selfie of epic proportions indeed!"

What happens when the legends of 1992 get together after a long time? A selfie of epic proportions of course. It's so...

This isn't the first time that Wasim has expressed his support for Imran on Twitter. Last year he tweeted a vintage photograph of the two saying, 'Once a Leader, always a Leader."

The two have always been huge fans of each other with Imran saying that Wasim was the most talented bowler he had seen apart from Holding and Wasim calling his captain his greatest teacher.

From the cricket field to social media, it's wonderful to see the camaraderie  between Pakistan's most loved legends twenty years down the line!
