Skipper Kedar Jadhav scored a fluent 31-ball 40 to compliment a tremendous effort by his bowlers as Maharashtra beat Saurashtra by four wickets in a West Zone T20 league game at the Wankhede stadium here today. Maharashtra, outclassed their opponents with some good bowling but made a heavy weather of the modest 124-run target as they reached there with just two balls to spare. Electing to bat, Saurashtra were bundled out for a meagre score of 123. They lost both the openers – Chetshwar Pujara (6) and Sagar Jogiyani (11) inside the first four overs and struggled to post a challenging total. Chasing the small target, the Ranji Trophy finalists started well but kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Skipper Jadhav kept fighting from one end and hit four fours and a six in his fighting knock. Opener Harshad Khadiwale and Ankit Bawne contributed with 23 and 22, respectively. Saurashtra left-arm spinner Arpit Vasavda scalped three wickets and conceding 22 runs. Jaydev Unadkat, Dharmendra Jadeja and Abhishek Bhat got a wicket apiece.
