Watch: When Harbhajan spoke Tamil and Ashwin tried Punjabi in a hilarious interview

Did you know that India's spin star Ravichandran Ashwin was in eighth standard when India's then spin king Harbhajan Singh took his famous hat-trick in the historic 2001 Kolkata Test?

Or did you know that Bhajji was Ashwin's role model growing up and that he can recount how the 'Turbanator' took most of his wickets since debut?

This and several other interesting anecdotes about the Indian team were revealed when sat the two Indian spinners down for a 'funny interview', as Bhajji called it.

But the highlight was Ashwin, a Tamilian, and Harbhajan, the lad from Punjab. trying to teach each other their language. We had a heavily accented 'Maalko ki haal chaal hain' (how is it going?) from Ashwin and something quite incomprehensible passing off as a Tamil phrase from Bhajji accompanied by hoots of laughter from the two.

On being asked about the most irritating Indian player in the nets, the answer was unanimous — Ravindra Jadeja. "Jadeja is the most irritating — when he bowls everything is out, when he bats everything is a boundary," Ashwin quipped. Bhajji added that Virat Kohli was no less irritating, because he never accepts that he has been dismissed.

And what do the two spinners want from each others armoury of deliveries? Bhajji is prompt to answer — he admires Ashwin's brain but would like to learn his carrom ball, while Ashwin would like Bhajji's attitude and the doosra.

Well, we must say that the two seem to have excellent camaraderie off-field even though they may not get the chance to play together on-field in the World T20.
