Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017 doesn’t cease to amaze us. We have already had a few thrillers and on Sunday evening, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) pulled off a heist, shooting out the mighty Royal Challengers Bangalore(RCB) batting line-up for the lowest score in IPL history. We are back then with eminent journalist and commentator Ayaz Memon for another edition of Firstpost Gameplan to discuss RCB’s spectacular collapse at the Eden Gardens and also the other matches that have happened over the weekend. We also look at the matches scheduled for this week. RCB, after the humiliation at the Eden Gardens, would now have to pick themselves up and hope for a turnaround when they face Sunrisers Hyderabad on Tuesday and Gujarat Lions on Thursday. However, that would not be easy. Mumbai Indians, however, are in a much happier frame of mind than RCB. They are in tremendous form, having won six matches on the trot, and will turn up at their fortress, the Wankhede, again this evening as they host Rising Pune Supergiant. What will make them confident is MS Dhoni coming back into form. SportzPics[/caption] Kings XI Punjab, led by Hashim Amla’s superb knock, ended a four-match losing streak with a win over GL in the first match on Sunday. It was disappointing though for GL, who lost bit of steam after they registered a creditable win over KKR in their previous match, that too at the Eden Gardens. What comes as a terribly bad news for GL is that their star all-rounder Dwayne Bravo is out of the tournament with injury. They would need some inspiration from somewhere when they face RCB on Thursday. SRH, on the other hand, will look to improve their away record when they face Virat Kohli and Co at the M Chinnaswamy stadium on Tuesday. So a lot of exciting matches lined up for this week and you can’t take your eyes off for even a bit.
