The setting: Teams gathering in the tunnel before Argentina vs Bosnia-Herzegovina. The victim: a cute kid in an over-sized kit. The culprit: Lionel Messi - four time world player of the year. And the plot: Messi walks into the frame to join his team, the kid puts his hand in the hope of Messi shaking it, Messi looks down and sees the kid, then looks up — ignoring his hand which stays outstretched for an agonizing two-three seconds before the kid takes it back. In Messi’s defence though, he explained why he ignored the handshake: “I went through without seeing him, I don´t know what I was thinking about,” he said.
