Virender Sehwag's 'paisa vasool' birthday: Twitter goes berserk wishing the Nawab of Najafgarh

19 October was quite an eventful day on Twitter. Why, you ask? Because, 20 October was Virender Sehwag's birthday. The former Indian opener is now also known for his hilarious birthday wishes and people couldn't help but wonder how he would wish himself. To everyone's disappointment he didn't. However, Sehwag who turned 38 on Thursday, was still trending on Twitter thanks to him thanking everyone for their wishes, right from fans to the god of cricket Sachin Tendulkar.

But, before moving to the replies, let's go through the birthday wishes he got from various dignitaries, right from ex-cricketers to bollywood stars.

Commentator Harsha Bhogle was one of the first one to take to Twitter to wish the explosive batsman.

Delhi southpaw Gautam Gambhir also wished his opening partner.

Amitabh Bachchan called Sehwag 'audacious'.

Tendulkar reminded us of the destruction he caused.

.@virendersehwag Happy birthday my friend, the game of cricket misses your exciting batting and all round entertainment !

Harbhajan Singh showed us the Punjabi rhyming skills he possesses.

BCCI 'blessed' social media with the highlights of Nawab's triple ton against South Africa.

Social media is a platform which has reduced the gap between fans and celebrities and Sehwag uses this opportunity to the fullest. However, on his birthday things went berserk as he not only showed his love for his followers, but also for his close friends and his colleagues by thanking them through small videos.

Sehwag thanked Kumble for playing him in the team where he scored his second triple hundred and called him the best Indian captain ever.
