Virat Kohli reveals his source of inspiration: 'Autobiography of a Yogi' by Paramhansa Yogananda

Indian captain Virat Kohli is in the form of his life and has guided India to series wins over New Zealand, England and Bangladesh in the past seven months. He has been consistently breaking records with his batting and has extended India's unbeaten run in Tests to 19 matches. He is also one of the fittest athletes in the world.

Kohli is also known for being an active celebrity on social media, and shares his fitness routines and other updates from time to time. He surprised his followers on 18 February by revealing his source of inspiration on his official Instagram account. He posted an image of himself holding a book called the Autobiography of a Yogi written by Paramhansa Yogananda.

The book has provided great motivation and it looks like Kohli wants other people to read the book as well. He wrote on Instagram, “I love this book. A must read for all those who are brave enough to let their thoughts and ideologies be challenged. The understanding and implementation of the knowledge in this book will change your whole perspective and life. Believe in the divine and keep marching on doing good deeds #onelove #begrateful #helponeanother,” he captioned the post.

Autobiography of a Yogi has been an inspiration for not only Kohli but millions around the world. The book was first published in 1946 and has remains a bestseller till date. The autobiography is said to be a spiritual classic, showcasing the life of Paramahansa Yogananda and the stories surrounding him.

Kohli will next lead his team in a four-match Test series against Australia, starting on 23 February, and the Indian cricket team will be looking to extend their unbeaten run.
