Viral Video: Kohli for the Oscars?

There hasn’t been an advertisement in a long time that begins and ends in such a contrasting manner. Cinthol’s deodorant ‘Alive’ starts off with Virat Kohli thinking about the atmosphere in the stadium. The short monologue says “Gyaara khiladi mujhe rokne ke liye khade hai aur ek saat foot lamba bowler mera besabri se intazaar kar raha hai, pata hai mere andar kya chal raha hai?” [caption id=“attachment_645380” align=“alignleft” width=“380”]  Kohli in the middle of an extremely emotional scene. YouTube[/caption] Which translates into: “11 players are waiting on the field to stop me… one seven-foot tall bowler is eagerly anticipating my entry… (dramatic pause) but, you know what I’m thinking about?” Honestly, this does make the viewer think what Kohli really wants to tell us, before the ad collapses into mayhem inducing music, accompanied by the right-hander making the most unexpected ‘mean’ faces and expressions on screen. Worse, it’s played out in fast forward while Kohli sprays himself with a life-threatening amount of deodorant. We won’t spoil all the fun. So, watch the ad below.
