Sneaky little thing that stump camera, no? Ishant Sharma’s expletive-filled outburst may not have been heard by the 35-year-old Zaheer Khan at fine-leg or understood by batsman Brendon McCullum (who was 125 not out at the time), but the whole world surely heard it — and those who understand Hindi, got the meaning of it too. Ishant’s full delivery was wrapped off the pads by McCullum and a tired Zaheer in the outfield allowed three runs with a lax throw back to MS Dhoni. Getty Images[/caption] Ishant, who was walking back from his run-up, was clearly not impressed either with his own bowling or Zaheer’s effort and said something which can politely be translated into “he’s been ruining my bowling.” He could also be frustrated with McCullum’s batting. There were other not-so-polite words used, which from personal recollection would be among the most abusive comments ever caught by the stump camera. Check out the video below:
It was all the more shocking considering that Zaheer is the senior-most member of India’s bowling attack.
