The Rock headlined the annual WrestleMania event, easily the biggest event in wrestling entertainment, this weekend in Philadelphia, where over 70,000 fans were speculated to attend each night to pack the NFL stadium that is home to the Eagles.
On Saturday night, Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins lost to The Rock and Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40, with Rhodes getting pinned by The Rock. Sunday was about payback for Rhodes who faced plenty of ridicule in the aftermath.
That revenge was needed in the Bloodline Rules match between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns. Despite the loss on the opening night, crowd remained well and truly behind Rhodes.
As the match went on, and the Usos got involved, only to put each through a table, the intensity increased. Both Rhodes and Reigns survived near pinfalls before John Cena ran down to aid Rhodes. Cue The Rock.
Cena and The Rock faced off in a rewind of WrestleMania 29 and 30. Cena and Rock gave each other a typical stare-off in the ring. Rock then delivered the Rock-Bottom to Cena.
The Shield then tried to make their presence count as Seth Rollins hit the ring with a Steel Chair and immediately took a Superman Punch from Reigns.

The trope used a lot of times by the WWE over the years/decades, had been used again but the fans didn’t mind. The Undertaker appeared out of nowhere.

Meanwhile, Reigns used a steel chair and struck Rollins in the back. With focus away from him, Cody sprang back to life and dropped Reigns with multiple Cross Rhodes’ before picking up the win via pinfall.
Worth reminding that The Rock, whose real name is Dwayne Johnson, joined the board of directors for TKO Group Holdings, the company consisting of the merged WWE and UFC. In January the company announced it was partnering with Netflix, which will become the exclusive home of “WWE Raw” in 2025.
