Sri Lanka’s Kumar Sangakkara on Wednesday became the first player to score four successive one-day international centuries, setting a new record in a World Cup match against Scotland in Hobart. [caption id=“attachment_2147615” align=“alignleft” width=“380”] Kumar Sangakkara continued his incredible run of form. AFP[/caption] The prolific 37-year-old reached the landmark when he guided Kyle Coetzer to third man for two runs as the Sri Lankans raced to 237 for two in the 37th over after electing to bat in the Pool A match at the Bellerive Oval. Sangakkara had made 105 not out against Bangladesh, an unbeaten 117 in the game with England followed by 104 against Australia. The left-hander surpassed six players who had scored three ODI centuries in a row. Here is how Twitter reacted to his amazing feat:

Bowling with 4 fielders on the boundary against a set batsman of Sanga's class is like defending against a samurai with a tooth pick #ScovSL
