Jannik Sinner booked his spot in the final after beating Felix Auger-Aliassime in four sets (6-1, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4) in a match that lasted more than three hours at Arthur Ashe Stadium on Saturday. Many thought it would be an easy win for him, but Felix played really well and even took the second set. In the end, Sinner showed his class and got the job done.

With his latest victory, he has now reached all four Grand Slam finals in the same year, joining legends like Rod Laver, Roger Federer, and Novak Djokovic.
On the other hand, Carlos Alcaraz took down 24-time Grand Slam winner Novak Djokovic in straight sets in their semifinal. Djokovic, who has been the biggest name in tennis for years, admitted that Alcaraz and Sinner are simply playing at a level higher than him right now. Alcaraz already has five Grand Slam titles, including the 2022 US Open, and will be aiming for his sixth.
“I lost three out of four Slams in semis against these guys, so they’re just too good, playing on a really high level. Unfortunately, I ran out of gas after the second set. I think I had enough energy to battle him and to keep up with his rhythm for two sets. After that I was gassed out, and he kept going,” Djokovic said after his game against Alcaraz.

Djokovic is the greatest of all time, however I do think it’s time for him? Funnily enough, he’s still better than a large, large majority of the rest of Tennis players but Alcaraz and Sinner are just far too much for him now.
