Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic is someone who keeps his family to the closest whenever he travels across the world during tours. So much so that, the 24-time Grand Slam winner wears two necklaces all the time, out of which, one of those is completely dedicated to his family.
Djokovic explained the importance of both his necklaces during an interview with GQ India recently. “I have two necklaces that I wear with me all the time. One is the cross, a connection to Orthodox Christianity. Very important to me," he said. “Another necklace resembles the tennis ball and is also symbolic of the planet. It has a symbolic connection to my travelling and my sport.

“Once you open it, the pictures of my family – my wife, me and my son, my daughter, and our doggies. Extremely important necklace to me,” added Djokovic.
“I open this necklace up every day, and I kiss every member of my family. I kind of know that they are always with me even if we are not physically together. So, I wear all these all the time,” continued the 37-year-old.
Djokovic is currently in Melbourne where he is competing in the 2025 Australian Open . Djokovic reached the semi-final of the year’s first Grand Slam with a -6, 6-4, 6-3, 6-4 win over Carlos Alcaraz . The former World No will face Alexander Zverev in the semi-finals on Friday, but has not trained for two straight days as he sustained an injury during his quarter-final win.
“I have to assess the situation tomorrow when I wake up. I will try to do as much as I possibly can with my recovery team, with my physio today, tomorrow, the next few days. Probably skip training tomorrow. I’ll see if I’m going to train in two days or not,” Djokovic had said after his win over Alcaraz. Djokovic is aiming for a record-extending 25th Grand Slam title and an 11th Australian Open title.
