Jannik Sinner defeated the two-time winner and defending Wimbledon champion Carlos Alcaraz to secure his maiden Grand Slam title on grass . After losing the first set by 4-6, Sinner came right back into the match and found his rhythm to go a break point up over Alcaraz, subsequently winning the second set, 6-4.

The victory became more special to Sinner as it came against Alcaraz, who entered the Centre Court after five consecutive wins over Sinner. Moreover, it was a sweet revenge for the French Open loss that he incurred last month.
