Ajax and Tottenham Hotspur have started negotiations on the transfer of Danish international Christian Eriksen to London, Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf reported Wednesday. Ajax demand 15 million euros ($20 million) for the 21-year-old midfielder, who has a contract until the end of this season. According to De Telegraaf, the Spurs so far offered 8 million euros, but both parties are expected to reach a deal around 10 to 11 million euros. If Tottenham have finalised the transfer of Gareth Bale to Real Madrid, for 100 million euros, the London-based club are ready to spend part of their cash on Eriksen. So far he played 113 Dutch league matches for Ajax scoring 25 times. LAMELA TO SIGN ON DOTTED LINE While Eriksen’s move is impending, Argentina forward Erik Lamela will most certainly join from AS Roma for 30 million euros (25.77 million pounds). “AS Roma announce that they have signed a contract with Tottenham Hotspur for the definitive sale of Erik Lamela for 30 million euros,” the Serie A club said in a statement to the Italian Stock Exchange. The deal also includes five million euros linked to performance, the club added.
