Spotted! Sakshi's adorable 'Mahi' tattoo for husband MS Dhoni

Tattooing your beloved’s name in Devnagri script is a popular trend among celebrities. Football star David Beckham’s  has his wife Victoria’s name etched across his arm  while Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan has a similar ink dedicated to wife, Kareena.

The latest addition to this list is Indian cricket’s First Lady, Sakshi Dhoni who revealed a tattoo of her husband Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s name at the IPL 8 finals.

Cheering for Dhoni’s IPL team Chennai Super Kings at the Eden Gardens, she seemed to shy away from the shutterbugs and in the process revealed  her tattoo.

The tattoo reads ‘Mahi’, Dhoni’s popular nickname, in Devnagri and sits discreetly under her ear.

The tiny print looks very elegant and the fact that she used Hindi to dedicate a tattoo for her husband makes it even more special. In one word, Sakshi’s tattoo for Mahi is adorable!

Sakshi was seen in the stadiums regularly during this IPL with the couple’s daughter, Ziva, born earlier this year.

On Sunday night as well both the Dhoni ladies were spotted at the stadium for the finals versus Mumbai Indians that CSK eventually lost.

While many cricketers have tattooed the names of their better halves, from Lasith Malinga to Kevin Pietersen, it is pleasantly surprising to see a cricketer’s wife expressing her love through body ink.

We wonder if Mahi will reciprocate and get inked. If he does, then he is sure to get tips from his much-tattooed team mates Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan.
