Sony has bagged the broadcast rights for next month’s India-Sri Lanka Test series by paying a whopping USD 3.25 million to SLC. Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) had expressed disappointment over the initial bid by Ten Sports of 1.85 USD and had approached different companies for an increase. The board has an ongoing seven-year deal with Ten Sports but this tour was sold separately because it had not appeared as a home series in the Future Tour Programme. PTI
