SC proposes 3 orders: No RR, CSK; Srini must go; Gavaskar takes over

Aditya Verma, the petitioner from the Bihar Cricket Association, spoke to the media after the Supreme Court heard the case on Thursday. The petitioner’s lawyer, Harish Salve, argued the case for around two and a half hours – pointing the SC towards the various conflicts of interests of BCCI president N Srinivasan and Indian cricket. Getty Images[/caption] After listening to the arguments, the SC proposed three interim orders: # Srinivasan has been removed from the post of BCCI president. Sunil Gavaskar will take over while the investigation is still on. # RR and CSK will not take part in IPL 7. # All India Cements employees to be removed from whatever position they are in the BCCI – staff, auditors, Chief Financial Officer and even the computer operators. Verma also mentioned how Dhoni was pressured by Srinivasan to lie about Gurunath and say that Srinivasan’s son-in-law was just an ’enthusiast’ and not an official of CSK. The SC will listen to BCCI’s reply at 1030 hrs IST on March 27 and then pass the orders. The other arguments in the case will be heard on 16 April.
