Indian badminton ace Saina Nehwal on Saturday lost against Juliane Schenk in semifinals of Indonesia Open. Saina failed to make her fifth consecutive final appearance at the Indonesia Open Super Series Premier badminton after she was beaten by her arch-rival Juliane Schenk of Germany in the women’s singles semifinal here. World No. 2 Saina went down 21-12, 13-21 and 14-21 in 51 minutes to her fourth seededed opponent at the Istora Gelora Bung Karno Stadium. AFP[/caption] Earlier, the defending champion sailed into the semifinals of the Indonesian Super Series Premier after scripting a straight-game victory over Carolina Marin of Spain. However, India’s campaign ended in the men’s singles event as both RMV Gurusaidutt and Ajay Jayaram lost their respective quarterfinal matches. Saina took 39 minutes to outplay her 27th ranked opponent 21-16 21-19 in the quarters before going down to Schenk in the semis. PTI
