The 100 that had been one year in waiting finally came about as Sachin Tendulkar completed his century of tons today. However, Tendulkar showed minimal emotion after reaching a milestone that is unlikely to be emulated in the near or distant future. Sachin said, “I was not playing on for my 100th hundred. Everyone had an opinion on cricket. I was not thinking of the milestone.” After 33 innings and over a year, Tendulkar finally got to the elusive ton against Bangladesh in an Asia Cup league match at a packed Sher-e-Bangla stadium in Mirpur. [caption id=“attachment_247373” align=“alignleft” width=“380” caption=“AP”]  [/caption]The cricketer said that it has been a tough phase for him. “I started off the season batting reasonably well, I was luckless”, he said. He said although the feeling has not sunk in, he has definitely lost 50 kilos. “When I scored my 99th hundred no body spoke about it. The 100th hundred was a media creation. But I was not bothered, " Tendulkar said. The God of cricket went on to say that it doesn’t matter how many hundreds a cricketer scores, he still has to put his head down and score for the team. “Dreams do come true. I had to wait for one for 22 years (the World Cup),” he said.
After scoring his 100th hundred, Sachin Tendulkar said that he was not thinking of the milestone, it was hyped by the media.
