Five quick facts about Sunday’s Super Bowl 49:

- The NFL championship game pits the AFC champion New England Patriots against the NFC champion Seattle Seahawks, who seek the first title repeat in a decade. Kick-off is at 4:30 p.m. (23:30 GMT) at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona (home of the NFL’s Arizona Cardinals) which will seat more than 70,000 for the game.

- To the victors get the Vince Lombardi Trophy, the Tiffany & Co. designed sterling silver statuette named in honor of the legendary Green Bay Packers coach. This year’s bonus payout for players on the winning tream is $97,000, while those on the losing side collect an extra $49,000. But the award most prized by many individual players will be the Super Bowl ring, designed to the winning team’s specifications.

- The cheapest seat at University of Phoenix Stadium goes for $800 at face value but based on prices posted on TiqIQ.com, Forbes.com calculated that the average price for re-sold tickets would top an astonishing $5,000.

- 2014’s Super Bowl 48 attracted a record 111.5 million US television viewers - making it the most-watched show in US TV history. No wonder advertising time during this year’s Super Bowl is going for $4.5 million per 30 seconds – $150,000 per second.

- The first Super Bowl in 1967 between the Green Bay Packers and the Kansas City Chiefs was watched by 51.1 million television viewers, according to Nielsen. The attendance for that Super Bowl 1 was 61,946 – well below the 94,000 capacity at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
