Road to final

Puneri Paltan and Haryana Steelers charted contrasting paths to the summit clash. While Paltan finished top of the table at the end of the league stage with 96 points, winning 17 out of 22 matches, the Steelers had to take the Eliminator route after finishing fifth with 70 points, the same as Gujarat Giants who finished ahead due to superior score difference.

The Steelers knocked Gujarat Giants out with a 42-25 defeat before pipping Jaipur Pink Panthers 31-27 in a more closely-fought tie. Paltan, on the other hand, defeated Patna Pirates — the most successful team in Pro Kabaddi history with three titles, 37-21 after directly entering the semis.
