Jaipur: Brilliant raids by Rahul Choudhary helped Telugu Titans trounce defending champions Jaipur Pink Panthers 33-22 in the Pro Kabaddi season–2 league match at the Sawai Man Singh Indoor Stadium on Monday. In the other game, incisive raids by skipper Manjeet Chiller, who scored nine points, and fine tackling enabled Bengaluru Bulls drub Dabang Delhi 33-17 and climb to second spot. Source: Pro Kabaddi.[/caption] Recovering from their one point defeat on Sunday against the leaders U Mumba, Telugu Titans gave no chance to the hapless hosts as Panthers, who wilted under pressure, crashed to their fourth consecutive defeat. The visitors were leading 8-7 at the breather but raced to a healthy lead 17-9. Pink Panthers tried hard and scored four consecutive points to come close at 12-17 but that was it. It was Choudhary who struck good form to lead his team to a eleven point victory. He was well assisted by Sukesh Hegde and skipper Deepak Nivas Hudda who scored 7 and 6 points respectively. On the other hand Jaipur Pink Panthers who were banking n home advantage to get back to winning ways could match the opponents. They are languishing at seventh position with only three points from four matches. In fact their performance was below par and they wilted under pressure and are almost out of the contention with fourth consecutive defeat. For them, Rajesh Narwal was top scorer with nine points while Kuldeep Singh chipped in with five points. Jasveer Singh was below par and could score only three points. The Bengaluru Bulls, who were leading 17-8 in their match, took time to settle down but thereafter opened up a sizable lead which continued till end. Dabang Delhi was neck and neck in the beginning and both teams were 4-4 but Bengaluru with some fine raids and good tackling went ahead at 11-8 and never looked back. They were sitting pretty at 30-17 and also enforced an all out to seal the issue with a 33-17 comfortable victory. The win has propelled them to second position with 20 points from five matches out which they have won four and lost one while Delhi with two victories and two defeats in four outings is at fourth spot with 10 points. Chillar top scored for the Bulls with nine points, while Somveer Shekhar, who was called upon at crucial juncture, had a got six points. Ajay Thakur and Dharmaraj Cheralathan scored four each and Joginder Narwal and Rajesh Mondal scored three and two points respectively. On the other hand, Rohit Kumar Choudhary was top scorer for Delhi with six points while skipper Ravindar Pahal and Kashiling Adake scored four and three points respectively. PTI
