Premier League: Ryan Giggs says he will coach any club with ambition to succeed

Manchester: Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs has hinted that he would coach even a low division football club which had an ambition to succeed. The 43-year-old, who left United last summer as an assistant coach in order to become a head coach elsewhere, is willing to take over even at a low profile club. AP[/caption] “I always maintained that it was not sort of Premier League, I would rather go to a good club lower down, which had the same ambition, same philosophy, rather than go to a Premier League team that are perhaps struggling, fire-fighting or got owners that are famous for sacking after six months,” Giggs was quoted saying by Independent. “I think it’s really important that, when I do decide to go in, that the first job’s right for me,” he further added. Having worked as an interim coach with his boyhood club in 2014, Giggs further said he is ready to join League Two clubs. “It’s totally different experience to what I’ve had previously, just relax, not putting yourself under pressure. So yeah, nothing has changed really, where if a club wants to talk, then I’ll talk to them,” Giggs said.

“Whether it be Premier League, Championship, League One, League Two, this country, another country, I’ll look at all the options,” he added.

The Welshman, having figured in 672 appearances for United, scoring 114 goals, revealed that English Premier League club Swansea was the only club he was linked to for the role. “I spoke to Swansea last year. That was the only club I did speak to, even though I got linked with everyone, but the same again this year really,” Giggs said.
