Pistorious family deletes social media accounts as hackers attack brother's Twitter

A hacker attack on the Twitter account of Oscar Pistorius' brother Carl Pistorius, has prompted the entire family to delete their social media accounts.

The hacker reportedly tweeted that Carl Pistorius would be giving out media interviews.

"It is most unfortunate that during this sensitive time, someone would choose to hack into Oscar Pistorius older brother, Carl Pistorius' Twitter handle. Carl did not tweet this afternoon, out of respect to Oscar and Reeva", said the family spokeswoman Janine Hills.

The hackers reportedly attacked the account on Saturday afternoon.

Oscar Pistorius who is being charged with the pre-meditated murder of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp, was released on bail on Friday.

In an affidavit, the 26-year-old aid he was “absolutely mortified” by the death of “my beloved Reeva,” and he frequently sobbed in court during the several days during which his bail application was considered.
