In that same tour, he scored his maiden Test century off just 93 balls. Overall, this is the third fastest in test cricket by a wicketkeeper/batsman. Reuters[/caption] [caption id=“attachment_2022953” align=“alignleft” width=“940”]

Andrew Symonds of Australia survives a stumping attempt by MS Dhoni of India during day one of the Second Test match between Australia and India at the Sydney Cricket Ground on January 2, 2008 in Sydney, Australia. But not many have been as lucky as Symonds. Dhoni holds the world record for number of stumpings in international cricket - with 134. But he has struggled as a skipper overseas. In India’s last two series against England, the visitors lost 1-3 and 0-4. Dhoni’s low points were not just overseas - where he lost eight consecutive Tests overseas. England beat his side in India too — but Dhoni continued to lead the team. Probably the series loss against Australia was too much - and Dhoni called it a day from Test cricket. The flowing mane has now turned to a greying crop and he will still go down as one of India’s greatest test players. Getty Images[/caption]
