Naresh Sharma failed to qualify for the finals of the 10m Air Rifle Standing event after he managed to shoot only 571 points in the qualifying round.
India’s sole shooter finished 24th out of 29 shooters. Finishing first was China’s Chao Dong who equaled the world record with a score of 596.

Naresh is also taking part in two other events which means the quest for a medal is not yet over.
He will shoot in the Mixed 50m Rifle Prone event on September 4th at 1.30 PM before gunning for glory at 50m Rifle Three Positions event at the same time on September 5th.
