The third round in the men’s golf tournament is over. Shubhankar Sharma carded 1-over in the third round and with a total of 211 he has dropped from T25 to T34 in the rankings.

Gaganjeet Bhullar climbed four spots from T52 to T48 after an on-par score today. He has a score of 215.

The final round will be played tomorrow (4 August, Sunday 4) at 12:30 PM IST.

Xander Schauffele of the USA and Jon Rahm of Spain are currently T1, firing 14-under after three rounds.

Not a good day for Indian sailor Nethra Kumanan who is now ranked 24th in the women’s dinghy sailing event after six races. She was 11th after Race 3.

Today she finished 28th in Race 4 and Race 5 and 20th in Race 6. She currently has 96 net points (124 total points).

Only the top 10 after 10 races will take part in the medal race.

Races 7 and 8 will take place tomorrow.

Gagan Narang, India’s Chef-de-Mission for the 2024 Paris Olympics, feels India will win more medals at 2024 Games.

“I am delighted to see our athletes rising up to the occasion and delivering such outstanding performances. My heartiest congratulations to all the medal winners so far and all the major achievers in Paris so far. Their performances have shown how much India has grown as a sporting nation over the past decade. I am confident that we are going to win more medals in Paris,” Narang said.

Maheshwari Chauhan is ranked eighth after Day 1 of women’s skeet qualification with a total of 71 (23, 24, 24) in the first three rounds. Maheswari is very close to the top six positions. Only the top six will qualify for the final after Day 2 of qualification.

The two rounds of qualification will take place tomorrow on Day 2.

Raiza Dhillon is 25th after scoring 66 (21, 22, 23) in the first three rounds.

India’s Saravanan is ranked 23rd with 83 net points (117 total points) after Race 6 in the men’s dinghy event.

He finished 21st in Race 5 and 13th in Race 6 today. Races 7 and 8 will take place tomorrow.

He was 22nd yesterday after Race 4.

All sailors will take part in 10 races and the top 10 will reach the medal race.

Naruka finishes 24th in the men’s skeet qualification. He scored a total of 116/125 in five rounds but only top 6 reach the final.

India have never won a medal in the skeet event at Olympics.

With Deepika Kumari’s loss, India’s archery campaign at the Paris Olympics has ended. This was probably Deepika’s last match at the Olympics as well. She has been part of four Olympics so far.

India’s archery campaign ended once again without a medal but at least they broke the quarters’ hoodoo and Dhiraj/Ankita went until the bronze medal match.
