Ness Wadia case: Preity Zinta back in India, to record statement in two days

Bollywood actor and IPL cricket team owner Preity Zinta returned to India from the US today and is likely to record her statement before the police in the next two days regarding the complaint she filed against former boyfriend and co-owner of Kings XI Punjab, Ness Wadia. [caption id=“attachment_799409” align=“alignleft” width=“380”] ![PTI ](https://images.firstpost.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/PreityZinta_angry_PTI2.jpg) PTI[/caption] Zinta was asked by the Mumbai Police to join the investigation into the case as soon as possible. The actor had been scheduled to arrive earlier this week but is now expected to record her statement today, said reports. Preity left for US last Sunday after filing a case against Wadia accusing him of grabbing her arm and shoving her during the IPL match between Kings XI Punjab and Chennai Super Kings on May 30. She had filed the police complaint only on June 12, after the IPL season ended. The police have until now said witnesses have corroborated that there was indeed a spat on May 30. IPL Chairman Ranjib Biswal who spoke to Preity soon after her alleged incident, BCCI secretary Sanjay Patil and COO Sundar Raman have recorded their statements until now. The IPL Chief Operating Officer’s statement was recorded over an-hour-and-half, Deputy Commissioner of Police Ravindra Shisve said, adding that statements of six witnesses have been recorded so far, including that of a BCCI employee named Ankit Baldi.
