Neeraj Chopra, Janusz Kusocinski Memorial Javelin Throw Live: Indian javelin superstar Neeraj Chopra will be in action at the Janusz Kusocinski Memorial 2025 athletics meet in Poland on Friday (23 May). The two-time Olympic medalist is coming on the back of a sensational performance at the Doha Diamond League, where he finally breached his elusive 90-metre mark.
Despite his mind-boggling throw of 90.23m in Doha, Chopra finished second courtesy of Julian Weber’s 91.06m throw, which helped the German take the top prize. This was Chopra’s second competitive event since securing the silver medal in last year’s Paris Olympics. He won the Potch Invitational Meet in Potchefstroom, South Africa, with an 84.52m throw in April.
Chopra will aim to better his effort this time when he takes part in the Polish athletics meet tonight. Julian Weber, Anderson Peters, Marcin Krukowski, Cyprian Mrzyglod, Dawid Wegner, Andrian Mardare, and Artur Felfner will also be in action alongside Chopra. The event is scheduled to begin at 9:45 PM IST.
