Narendra Modi, Amitabh Bachchan and Sachin Tendulkar congratulate Saina Nehwal after Australian Open win

New Delhi: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday congratulated ace shuttler Saina Nehwal for winning the Australian Open Super Series event in Sydney.

Prime Minister Modi took to twitter to congratulate India’s No.1 badminton star.

Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar and also expressed pride at Saina’s victory. VVS Laxman who hails from Saina’s hometown Hyderabad also congratulated her on her win in Sydney.

The 26-year-old from Hyderabad eked out a 11-21 21-14 21-19 over the World No. 12 Sun Yu in a fighting summit clash that lasted an hour and 11 minutes in Sydney.
