The auctions for the sixth edition of the India Premier League which are taking place today in Chennai today have seen quite a few unexpected twists. Ricky Ponting and Michael Clarke only fetched base price and the first million dollar bid was for Glen Maxwell!

Along with the two Australians, South African all-rounder, Johan Botha, and Indian medium pacer, RP Singh, form the list of four marquee players.
