I-League set to resume at Cooperage after four years as Mumbai FC take on Sporting
This would be the local club's first match at the Cooperage after over four years.
Having lost all their three games so far this season, I-League team Mumbai FC is hoping for a turnaround in their fortunes when they play their first home match here on February 8 against Sporting Clube de Goa.
"When we start a season we are always a bit weak but as the season progresses, we perform. I hope this year, we start (performing better) from Cooperage stadium," Mumbai FC coach Khalid Jamil told reporters here today.
"The three matches definitely were not good. Now we will be playing on our home ground so it will be good. We will get support also. The first match (at home) is always difficult. If the first match is good then everything will be good," he added.

Mumbai FC is yet to sign a marquee player and the 37-year-old former Mahindra United player-turned-coach said they might look at a striker or a mid-fielder.
"We will play a few more matches and then decide (on signing a marquee player). We have shortlisted a few but AIFF (apex football body) is yet to clear them."
Mumbai FC has roped in Playwin as their main sponsor.
