Just for fun: Semi-truck breaks world record by jumping over speeding F1 car

It might seem unreal, it might seem like a scene straight out of the movie Fast and the Furious but the Lotus Formula One team, along with their technology partner EMC, did something pretty spectacular: They set the Guinness world record for the longest jump by having a semi-truck catapult over a speeding F1 car. Screengrab[/caption] Yes, that’s right. They had a truck jump over a Formula One car. In this amazing video, stunt driver Mike Ryan drives the truck and jumps 83 feet, seven inches over the speeding F1 car driven by Martin Ivanov. The stunt broke the previous record of 50 feet, 6 inches set on November 17, 2008 by Gregg Godfrey on MTV’s Nitro Circus at Rocky Mountain Raceway in Salt Lake City. Both the drivers - Ryan and Ivanov - have worked as stunt drivers in famous action movies such as Fast and the Furious series, James Bond and Bourne films.
