India bowled out Sri Lanka for 201 in the final of the Tri-Nation series at the Queen’s Park Oval on Thursday. Kumar Sangakkara top scored for Sri Lanka with 71 off 100 balls. Ravindra Jadeja picked up four wickets while Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ishant Sharma and Ravichandran Ashwin took two wickets apiece. The Sri Lankans were rocked as Kumar quickly removed the two openers from the equation, but the middle order recovered before a mighty collapse saw them fold. India welcomed MS Dhoni back to the team for the final after the skipper had missed most of the league games with a hamstring injury. India won the toss at decided to bowl first on a cloudy day in Trinidad and Dhoni’s inclusion meant Murali Vijay had to be dropped. Vinay Kumar also got a game in place of Umesh Yadav. He didn’t get any wickets but gave away just 15 runs in six overs. [caption id=“attachment_949499” align=“alignleft” width=“380”]
Dhoni’s decision to bowl first must have come after seeing a hint of green on the pitch — something that is expected to stay throughout the match (This is a file picture).
