IPL spot-fixing: Pak umpire Asad Rauf denies charges, calls for ICC inquiry

Pakistani umpire Asad Rauf on Wednesday denied spot fixing allegations that were levelled against him by the Mumbai police. I am ready to face any enquiry if the ICC’s Anti-Corruption and Security Unit (ACSU) wants to conduct. I will be happy to answer any question and I am waiting for that. That is all I have to say," said Rauf, who was withdrawn by the ICC from next month’s Champions Trophy in England and Wales after reports emerged that he was under police investigation in India. Bollywood actor Vindoo Dara Singh Randhawa, who was also arrested by the Mumbai police for alleged links with the bookies, had told police that Rauf gave him vital information to place bets on, and he was introduced to Rauf through a bookie.
