IPL as it happened: Miller scores ton as Kings XI stun RCB

Miller’s hit a humongous six to bring up his century and finish off this run-chase. Sathish deserves a mention too — his two fours and a six in the first four balls of the over set KXIP on the way to a win. They’ve finished at 194-4 after 18 overs. 2315: Unbelievable from Miller! Uppercut and pulled six later, he’s just five runs away from a century. Kings XI are 172-4 after 17 overs. 19 from 18 required now. 2307: And suddenly, this match looks to be heading either way. Miller hurls another six into the crowd on the first ball of the 16th over before caressing the ball through third-man for four more. RCB seem lost on the field. It’s 154-4 after 16 overs and KXIP need 37 runs from 24 balls. 2300: The last two overs have brought KXIP a massive 43 runs! Miller has gone nuts… scoring 40 of those runs with five fours and three sixes! Is there hope for Kings XI? It’s 138-4 after 15 overs. Kohli drops Miller on 41 — how expensive will that be? It’s a sitter, has gone through his palms and hits him on the mouth. 2250: Flat and hard from Miller, and it’s flown away for six. However, the asking rate has now gone up to 13.71, so only a miracle can save Kings XI from defeat tonight. It’s 95-4 after 13 overs. 2242: Miller’s uppercut beats Tiwary at third-man for four, but all this could be a little too late. Gilchrist speaking to the commentators, admits that his team are in dire straits. It’s 79-4 after 11 overs. 2235: Wicket! Hussey c Henriques b Kartik 13 (14b, 1x4, 0x6): That asking run-rate is soaring with every dot ball, and Saurabh Tiwary’s magnificent stop on the boundary line will keep that going. That, and Hussey’s latest shot which is taken at long-on. It’s 64-4 after 9.5 overs. 2228: Wicket! Gurkeerat lbw b Kartik 20 (20b, 3x4, 0x6): There’s the breakthrough! Gurkeerat was growing in confidence with a couple of fine shots, but he misses his sweep this time and is gone. The match is slipping away from KXIP. It’s 51-3 after 7.4 overs. 2220: Gurkeerat gets going! He’s clobbered two fours in Henriques’ over (must be said Henriques has looked ordinary today), and that should make him feel better. The required rate is 10.71 for Kings XI, and it’s a big ask. 41-2 after six overs. 2212: Wicket! Mandeep c Arun Karthik b V Kumar 16 (12b, 3x4, 0x6): Very very faint edge as Mandeep goes for the pull shot and Vinay Kumer has struck just two balls into his first over. Kings XI are 25-2 after 4.2 overs. 2210: Mandeep makes Henriques pay for his sliding delivery down the leg-side with a careless flick for four. It’s 21-1 after four overs. 2205: Wicket! Marsh c de Villiers b Rampaul 6 (7b, 1x4, 0x6): Oh straight to the fielder! Marsh drives at it and finds de Villiers at short mid-off. KXIP are  13-1 after 2.3 overs. 2155: Mandeep Singh starts off the run-chase with a hooked four on the first ball of the innings. It’s been quiet otherwise. KXIP are 6-0 after an over. Kings XI need 191 runs to beat RCB 2135: What a cracking partnership from de Villiers and Henriques — 46 runs from just 19 deliveries. Neser’s last over goes for 21 runs, with de Villiers getting 17 of those in a remarkable show of hitting (it also included a cheeky reverse sweep). It’s 190-3 after 20 overs. 2130: De Villiers on the charge now! He’s pulled away a six after getting luck with four more after a thick edge. Praveen Kumar is introduced into the attack and bowls just one bad delivery — and it goes for six off Henriques’ bat. That’s how cruel the IPL can get. RCB 169-3 after 19 overs. 2120: Wicket! Kohli c Marsh b Awana 14 (14b, 1x4, 0x6): Kohli and de Villiers getting a bit impatient as Awana doesn’t waver in his line and length. However, the RCB skipper decides to have a go and slaps one high into the air. Marsh takes a fine catch running backwards. RCB 144-3 after 16.5 overs. 2110: Wicket! Pujara b Gony 51 (48b, 8x4, 0x6): Another one for Gony! And bowled again. Pujara with a wild attempt and it doesn’t suit him at all… he’s also nicked that one onto the stumps. RCB 133-2 after 15.1 overs. 2105: Tell you what, Pujara looks absolutely mint out there. He’s hit three more fours in the nine balls faced since Gayle departed, and all of them have been classy shots. Kohli’s also off the mark at the other end, getting past third-man for a four already. RCB are 125-1 after 14 overs. 2055: Wicket! Gayle b Gony 61 (33b, 6x4, 3x6): He hits Gony for a huge six and tries the same feat again - but this time he misses and Punjab dance to sound of the bails snapping off the top of the stumps. RCB 102-1 after 11.2 overs. 2050: Well done Naser and Chawla again… giving away just one four in the last couple of overs. Gayle brings up his fifty and this one’s taken him 27 balls (6x4, 2x6). Gayle and Pujara not in a hurry though - their run-rate in the last five overs has been 10.00. RCB 73-0 after eight overs. 2028: 0-4-4-4-1-4: Pujara has hit a hat-trick of fours — third-man, midwicket nad third-man! And to top it off, Gayle then hits a half-shot. It still reaches the boundary. The second was just eased with raw power over long-on. Pujara has also managed to get four. But Praveen Kumar has hit back well after conceding the second boundary — getting the ball to swing away from the left-hander.
