As it happened: Chennai Super Kings vs Delhi Daredevils

Chennai 115-1 after 15.2 overs
Vijay 48, Raina 28

That is probably the easiest run-chase in the this year's IPL. Did Delhi even have a chance to win this one with 114 on board? The last ball was a sign of how this game has panned out for the Daredevils. Raina gets an edge and it two fielders are running towards it with none really making it in time. The batsmen had completed running a couple before an overthrow resulted in the third and winning run.

Chennai 93-1 after 13 overs
Vijay 40, Raina 14

Raina comes and swats a six before steering a quick delivery towards the empty fine-leg region. Early dinner beckons for the home team.

WICKET! Chennai 75-1 after 10.1 overs
Michael Hussey c Jayawardene b Pathan 38 (32b, 5x4, 1x6)

Aww and Hussey is gone! He cannot stay till the end to steer his team to what should certainly be a comfortable win. His cut-shot is taken and point.

Chennai 70-0 after 9 overs
Hussey 37, Vijay 32

This is too easy for CSK. The batsmen are playing at ease, flicking away a four here and there to sprinkle their innings with some quick runs. If both of them can stay at the crease till the end, it will only go on to prove how superior CSK have been in this match.

Chennai 45-0 after 6 overs
Hussey 29, Vijay 15

Brisk batting from both batsmen. The 5th over was particularly pleasing for both, with three boundaries coming off it. Hussey scores back-to-back fours before Vijay found the gap at square-leg. Hussey has also clubbed CSK's first six as Varun Aaron is lashed over point for a big one.

After his century, Delhi fans will expect another good innings from Warner. AFP

Chennai 15-0 after 3 overs
Hussey 6, Vijay 8

Not really a swashbuckling start for CSK, but they barely need one. They can win this at less than a run-a-ball. Hussey and Vijay both have a four each- the former's coming off a thick edge past point and the latter's is driven through the covers.

CSK come out to bat

Delhi 114-5 after 20 overs
Nagar 44, Pathan 13

If you were wondering the last couple of overs would be innings-changing, then no... nothing like that happened. Nagar did hit a four and a six but even that takes Delhi to 114, which CSK should chase down pretty quickly.

Delhi 94-5 after 18 overs
Nagar 30, Pathan 8

Slow. Very slow. Delhi's batsmen haven't conjured up a boundary since the last five overs and have not even reached their 100-run mark in spite of playing 18 overs. Is it the pitch? Or have CSK's bowlers been fabulous? Or maybe Delhi's batsmen are having an off day.

Delhi 84-5 after 16 overs
Nagar 26, Pathan 5

No signs of an assault from the Delhi batsmen on the CSK bowlers. This is really surprising to see, but it is surely down to Dhoni winning the toss and choosing to chase. Delhi stuttering but Pathan is on the crease and he can hit them.

WICKET! Delhi 72-5 after 13.2 overs
Venugopal Rao c Morkel b Ashwin 26 (24b, 0x4, 2x6)

Rao is top scorer for Delhi, but he doesn't last too long. A couple of sixes earned him a few cheers but he tries hitting across the line and gets caught. CSK cruising at the moment.

Delhi 56-4 after 11 overs
Nagar 12, Rao 17

A slight reason to smile for the Delhi fans as Venugopal Rao smacks a six. But then that is as exciting as it gets. They have brought up their 50-run mark but the run-rate is still at snail's pace.

Delhi 36-4 after 8 overs
Nagar 6, Rao 4

At least Delhi haven't lost another wicket in these last few overs, but the runs have not been flowing. At this pace, CSK won't mind bowling without taking any wickets.

WICKET! Delhi 24-4 after 5.2 overs
Mahela Jayawardene c Hussey b Morkel 8 (10b, 1x4, 0x6)

Now you can confidently say that Delhi are struggling. Jayawardene tries to pierce the gap at mid-on but only manages to scoop it straight to the fielder.

WICKET! Delhi 24-3 after 5 overs
Naman Ojha c Dhoni b Hilfenhaus 3 (11b, 0x4, 0x6)

Three wickets down for Delhi as Ojha manages to get some glove before the ball just nestles into Dhoni's gloves. Sharp take from the skipper and the umpire's have given it.

WICKET! Delhi 12-2 after 2.1 overs
David Warner c Ashwin b Hilfenhaus 8 (9b, 1x4, 0x6)

And now Mr.Century is gone! Warner wants a big hit but he can't time it and Ashwin is more than happy to take a catch at mid-off. Delhi look shaky.

WICKET! Delhi 5-1 after 0.5 overs
Virender Sehwag b Hilfenhaus 4 (2b, 1x4, 0x6)

Uh-oh. Sehwag glances away a four as he faces his first delivery and Hilfenhaus, outraged at that, bowls a fuller moving delivery which takes out Sehwag's stumps. Stunning.

CSK won the toss and will bowl first
