IPL 6 as it happened: Sunrisers beat Delhi by six wickets

Sunrisers Hyderabad have beaten Delhi Daredevils by six wickets.

2255: Raw power from Sammy as he manages to get six for a shot that came off the toe of his bat. Vihari fires a couple of fours in the 14th over and Sunrisers have won the match. Jayawardene is talking to Asad Rauf, still bitter about a couple of decisions he think didn't go his team's way.

2245: Wicket! Sangakkara c Yadav b Botha 8 (14b, 0x4, 0x6): Why are they doing this to themselves? Sangakkara makes haste and makes a mess of his shot in the process. He's taken at long-off, and SRH are 60-4 after 11.2 overs.

2235: Sammy goes big and mistimes it... but it seems to be his day as a diving Warner fails to grasp on to the ball. With nine overs gone, SRH are 52-3. No boundaries in the last three overs.

2225: Wicket! Patel st Jadhav b Mendis 14 (18b, 1x4, 0x6): No way! That is clumsy from the Sunrisers. Patel needlessly charges forward, misses and is gone before he can look back.

It's 43-3 after 6.5 overs.

2220: Wicket! Ashish Reddy c Jadhav b Nehra 5 (6b, 1x4, 0x6): Slight blip in the run-chase for SRH. Ideally, they shouldn't be losing any wickets, but a fine delivery from Nehra forces the edge and it's comfortably taken.

SRH are 41-2 after six overs.

2215: Wicket! Dhawan lbw b Botha 22 (16b, 4x4, 0x6): Slightly unlucky, is it? Dhawan goes for the pull shot and misses. Looked like it may have beaten leg stump, but the umpire has given it.

SRH are 33-1 after 4.4 overs.

2205: Delhi's bowlers haven't troubled Dhawan and Parthiv at all. Dhawan has played a glorious cut-shot for four and even Parthiv has sent one to the fences through the same point region.

SRH are 23-0 after three overs.

2155: Shikhar Dhawan shows how it's done with timing... coming down the track before merely punching the ball past the bowler for four. SRH are 6-0 after an over.

Sunrisers Hyderabad need 81 runs to beat Delhi Daredevils

2135: Wicket! Nehra b Perera 0 (1b, 0x4, 0x6): That's it... all over for Delhi after an exceptional bowling show from Sunrisers. DD are 80 all out and it's the 4th lowest total in IPL history.

2128: Wicket! Pathan b Steyn 13 (19b, 0x4, 0x6): Inside edge and crack! The stumps are gone and Steyn is celebrating. Irfan walks back, helpless.

DD are 78-9 after 18.1 overs.

2125: Wicket! Nadeem run out 0 (3b, 0x4, 0x6): Nothing new about this run-out. Yes, no, yes, no and gone. Hyderabad bowling and fielding like champions! DD are 77-8 after 17.5 overs.

2120: Wicket! Botha c Patel b Perera 1 (7b, 0x4, 0x6): Top edge and that will be the end of Botha. It was high and not so handsome, but Parthiv takes a calm catch. DD are 73-3 after 16.4 overs.

2115: There's nothing to say about the batting. The bowlers have dominated this match from the start — but no one saw Delhi scoring just 72-6 after 16 overs.

2110: Wicket! Mendis c I Sharma b Sammy 11 (9b, 0x4, 0x6): The pressure has worked. Mendis goes for the big shot but can't beat Ishant at long-on. DD are 70-6 after 14.5 overs.

2058: Wicket! Jadhav c & b KV Sharma 3 (4b, 0x4, 0x6): Tata-bye-bye Jadhav. Sharma also joins the wicket-takers list tonight with a sharp catch off his own bowling.

DD are 57-5 after 12.2 overs.

2055: Wicket! Warner st Patel b Mishra 8 (15b, 0x4, 0x6): Fooled him! Warner charges down the track, it's the wrong one and Mishra exults. DD well and truly struggling at 52-4 after 11.2 overs.

2052: Wicket! Chand b Steyn 17 (24b, 3x4, 0x6): He's finally got his wicket. Steyn spot on and just too fast for Unmukt. You've got to feel sorry for the off-stump. DD are 50-3 after 10.5 overs.

2045: Dropped! Oh Vihari! Warner has skied one and Vihari, who had all the time to settle under it has dropped it. But it's been phenomenal bowling from SRH. Delhi have managed to score at a miserable run-rate of just 4.3 per over.

It's 43/2 after 10 overs.

2035: Wicket! Sehwag b Sammy 8 (17b, 0x4, 0x6): Keeps a bit low, and takes Sehwag's offside stump with it, that one! Sammy is ecstatic.

DD are 32-2 after 7.1 overs.

2025: As expected, the Hyderabad bowlers have shackled Unmukt and Sehwag. Perera has been introduced into the attack, but it's Ishant who is impressing. He conceded just one boundary in that wicket-taking over, and his latest one goes for just three runs.

Sehwag is on 7 and Chand on 5, as DD are 26-1 after six overs.

2015: Wicket! Jayawardene lbw b I Sharma 11 (12b, 1x4, 1x6): Across the line, and gone. Ishant gets the breakthrough and DD are 13-1 after 3.4 overs.

2010: Oh smack! Jayawardene has flicked away Steyn for a six. And then he goes for the short ball, which seems to have hit Sehwag's gloves before the keeper took it. Umpire says no and Steyn glares. DD are 12-0 after three overs.

2000: After an exceptional first five deliveries, Dale Steyn forces an edge from Jayawardane — which runs away for four in between first slip and the wicket-keeper. DD are 4-0 after an over.

Delhi XI: M Jayawardene, V Sehwag, U Chand, D Warner, K Jadhav, J Mendis, I Pathan, J Botha, S Nadeem, U Yadav, A Nehra

Sunrisers XI: P Patel, S Dhawan, K Sangakkara, H Vihari, T Perera, D Sammy, K Sharma, AA Reddy, A Mishra, D Steyn, I Sharma
