While the team from Bengaluru is currently languishing at sixth position, having won just two of their eight matches, while their opponents are dead last in the table with just four points.

Despite having some heavyweights in their side like Chris Gayle, AB de Villiers, Virat Kohli and Shane Watson, their form has been dismal this season.

Bangalore posted a paltry 49 runs against Kolkata Knight Riders — the lowest ever total in the history of IPL — before seeing the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad painfully washed out.

The Lions outfit then represents their chance to spark off their revival.
