PREVIEW: Refreshed and relaxed after a week’s break, a formidable Mumbai Indians will be raring to go when they take on a resurgent Sunrisers Hyderabad in a league tie of the Indian Premier League (IPL) at Visakhapatnam on Sunday. As the port city gears up to host the second match of the weekend double header, Mumbai would hope to continue their winning spree at their new home ground – the Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium. The Bombay High Court ordered to shift IPL matches to be held in Maharashtra from May 1 due to drought conditions in the western state. On a roll after three consecutive wins against Punjab, Kolkata and Pune respectively, Sunday’s match will be a test between the top class Mumbai batting line-up led by Rohit Sharma and the medium pace bowling troika of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ashish Nehra and Mustafizur Rahman. [caption id=“attachment_2748322” align=“alignleft” width=“380”] Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma. Sportzpics/IPL[/caption] On the other hand, Hyderabad will take heart from Friday’s comprehensive win against Gujarat Lions in Hyderabad and would want their skipper David Warner and Shikhar Dhawan to give a brilliant start at the top of the order. Both Hyderabad and Mumbai are positioned midway in the points table with 10 points each, having won five matches out of eight and nine respectively. In their earlier meeting, Sunrisers registered a seven-wicket win with 15 balls to spare at their home ground. Going into Sunday’s clash, the Mumbai franchise would bank on a good start from the opening combo of Rohit and Parthiv Patel, which has eluded the side so far. Both Rohit and Parthiv have performed individually with the willow but failed to give a decent opening stand together. The side also boasts of big-hitters in Ambati Rayudu, Keiron Pollard and Jos Buttler, who can tear apart any bowling attack on their day, along with the all-round duo of Hardik and Kruna Pandya. Mumbai’s bowling department is led by New Zealand’s left-arm seamer Mitchell McClenaghan, who has 13 wickets so far to be placed second in the top-wicket takers’ list while Jasprit Bumrah and Tim Southee with 11 and 7 wickets respectively form a lethal combo. Seasoned off-spinner Harbhajan Singh with five wickets forms the spin department with Krunal, who has three wickets so far. On the flip side, Hyderabad’s batting will centre around Warner and Dhawan with Australian all-rounder Moises Henriques, New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson and comeback man Yuvraj Singh adding more firepower in the middle. The side would heavily bank on its star bowling trio of Bhuvneshwar, Nehra and Mustafizur, who made light work of the Gujrat side on Friday. Bhuvneshwar has so far taken 12 wickets while Mustafizur isn’t so far with 10 scalps and Barinder Sran is an added advantage for the Orange army with six wickets in the tournament. The spin department of Karn Sharma, Ashish Reddy, Deepak Hooda and Bipul Sharma, however, still needs improvement when it takes on a top class batting line-up like Mumbai.

After 15 overs,Mumbai 85/9 ( Harbhajan Singh 16 , Jasprit Bumrah 5)
Welcome boundaries scored off Harbhajan and McClenaghan’s bats respectively, as the duo look to delay the inevitable by a bit. Well the job is ultimately left to Harbhajan after McClenaghan miscues an off-cutter to Henqirues at midwicket to depart for 8. Bumrah walks out to bat alongside Bhajji, with not much left to play for.
After 12 overs,Mumbai 62/8 ( Harbhajan Singh 8 , Mitchell McClenaghan 1)
Hardik and Southee depart following the strategic timeout, with both batsmen edging behind to the wicketkeeper. There’s not much of a deflection in Hardik’s case, although a different decision would probably have done little to arrest the slide that Mumbai are going through right no. The home side collapse to 62 for 8 at the end of 12 overs, well on their way to recording their lowest-ever score, which currently stands at 87.
After 9 overs,Mumbai 50/6 ( Hardik Pandya 7 , Harbhajan Singh 0)
Pollard goes on damage control mode with a couple of boundaries in the eighth over bowled by Sran. Pollard and Hardik are perhaps the last hope for Mumbai, if they are to get anywhere from here. Well that perhaps is not to be, as Pollard is dismissed in the ninth over of the innings after getting caught by Sran off Henriques’ bowling. And Mumbai are pretty much done by now!
The highest margin of win this #IPL2016 batting 1st is 45 runs. Only 2 other wins batting first have been 25-plus run wins.#MIvSRH #IPL9

After 6 overs,Mumbai 32/5 ( Kieron Pollard 0 , Hardik Pandya 2)
SIX! First big hit of the innings, and Krunal is beginning to accelerate the innings in style here! Length ball from Nehra ji, and Krunal lofts it straight over the bowler’s head, and holds his pose after that for the photographers. That’s pretty much the last positive moment for Mumbai till the end of the powerplay, with Rayudu, Buttler and Krunal departing in quick fashion in successive overs! Mumbai reach 32 for five at the end of the powerplay, and the fight has nearly been snuffed out of the match by the Sunrisers’ seamers so far in the innings.
After 3 overs,Mumbai 20/2 ( Ambati Rayudu 5 , Krunal Pandya 10)
Worst possible start for Mumbai, with Nehra and Mustafizur proving decisive in their first overs once again as they send the Mumbai opening pair back to the dugout! Krunal walks out to bat alongside Rayudu, and gets off the mark in the last delivery of the second over with a boundary towards fine-leg. Rayudu gets his first as well, flicking the third ball of the third over towards deep square-leg. Krunal at work again, and get drives the final ball of the third over down the ground to move to double figures.

Well accelerated, @SDhawan25! #MIvSRH #IPL
After 20 overs,Hyderabad 177/3 ( Shikhar Dhawan 82 , Moises Henriques 1)
Yuvi on strike for the final over, with McClenaghan handed the ball. Four off the first ball, with Yuvraj anticipating the full wide delivery outside off, and shuffling to his left to guide it down towards fine-leg! Singles off the next couple of deliveries. OUT! Impaled by his own sword! Yuvraj looks to play the fourth ball towards the off-side, and the high backlift results in his bat landing on top of the stumps and dislodging the stumps! Bizarre dismissal after a quickfire 23-ball 39 in the first hit-wicket of IPL 2016, and Henriques walks out to bat. Dot off the fifth, with a single off the final ball as SRH finish on 177/3 after 20 overs. Dhawan remains unbeaten on 82 off 57 balls in a brilliant display with the bat!
After 19 overs,Hyderabad 170/2 ( Shikhar Dhawan 81 , Yuvraj Singh 34)
55 runs have been scored in the last four overs of the innings in a terrific recovery by the duo present at the crease. Dhawan tries to ramp a slower delivery from Bumrah in the penultimate over, and Parthiv Patel nearly ends up pulling off a memorable leaping catch after anticipating the shot. Full toss in the fifth delivery, and Dhawan smashes it over deep square-leg! SRH move to 170 with one over to go.
After 18 overs,Hyderabad 157/2 ( Shikhar Dhawan 70 , Yuvraj Singh 32)
Yuvraj seems to have got his old touch back, and will have to play a big innings now. Meanwhile, Dhawan moves to 49 with a top-edge off a full, wide delivery from McClenaghan past the wicketkeeper. Fifty for Dhawan in 43 balls, including five boundaries, and the opening batsman gets to the mark with a single. Slower one from McClenaghan in the penultimate ball, and Yuvraj takes his time to drive it through cover for his second four. 13 runs conceded off the 16th over of the innings. Dhawan meanwhile, launches a full-blown assault after bringing up his milestone, hammering three boundaries in the following over.
Meanwhile, the partnership between Dhawan and Yuvi is in excess of 50 at the moment. SIX! Slower ball from Southee, and Yuvi picks the delivery beautifully to hammer if over his favourite region of long-on on the backfoot. 200 very much on the cards at the moment for SRH, with 14 coming off the 18th.
4,4 Shikhar Dhawan taking on Bumrah. Three boundaries for Dhawan in the over. Fifity partnership up https://t.co/VnstYEVQV5 #SRHvsMI

After 15 overs,Hyderabad 116/2 ( Shikhar Dhawan 45 , Yuvraj Singh 18)
Yuvraj Singh walks out to bat following the dismissal of Williamson, and the southpaw will look to make it big today after having failed on the previous occasion against Gujarat lions. Some mix-up between Yuvi and Gabbar, and the latter is nearly run-out at the non-striker’s end after running halfway down the track. Meanwhile, the 100 comes up for SRH in the 14th over, as Yuvraj and Dhawan are still looking for the boundaries at the moment. Yuvraj gets his first boundary of IPL 2016 with a cover drive off Pollard in the next over. SIX! And that’s Yuvi in full flow! Gets into the position early, and lofts the full delivery along middle over long! Quintessential Yuvraj!
4 & 6! Yuvraj finally gets going as he crunches one through extra cover, then launches next over long on. #MIvSRH https://t.co/VnstYEEfwv

After 12 overs,Hyderabad 93/2 ( Shikhar Dhawan 39 , Yuvraj Singh 1)
The 10th over of the Hyderabad innings turns out to be a nightmarish one for Harbhajan, who gets hammered for a couple of boundaries — towards wide long-on and straight down the ground respectively — but his clever change of length and line results in a miscue off Warner’s bat towards long-off, where Kieron Pollard is stationed to complete the dismissal.
OUT! Another big wicket lapped up by Bhajji! And this time he removes the dangerous Black Caps captain Kane Williamson for two off five deliveries. Williamson looks to push it towards the leg side, but skipper Rohit Sharma dives forward to complete a fine catch at short midwicket! SRH lose their second with 91 on board, and suddenly the momentum is with the ‘home’ side. Bhajji meanwhile, finishes his quote of four overs, conceding 29 runs while taking two crucial wickets.
After 9 overs,Hyderabad 76/0 ( David Warner (C) 40 , Shikhar Dhawan 34)
Mumbai skipper Rohit Sharma is trying several optinos at the moment, employing the services of Hardik with the ball, but to little effect as he goes for 10 runs in his first over as well. Meanwhile, the opening partnership between Warner and Dhawan looks solid right now, and could propel them to a 200-plus score from here if it continues to cause more damage. Pollard bowls the eighth over, and he bowls the fourth delivery from wayyy behind the crease! Almost two yards behind the crease! Dhawan guides it towards backward point for a four nevertheless!
After 6 overs,Hyderabad 51/0 ( David Warner (C) 37 , Shikhar Dhawan 13)
Bhajji is introduced into the attack for the fourth over, and he gets hammered over long-on as Warner middles a full delivery on one knee. Gives Warner room in the fourth ball, and the SRH captain cuts it away through the covers. Another change of bowling, with Bumrah being handed the ball for the fifth over, and Warner cuts the first ball through point for his third boundary! McClenaghan comes in for the last over of powerplay, adn the visitors bring up the 50-run opening stand with the help of two more boundaries off Warner’s bat.
After 3 overs,Hyderabad 23/0 ( David Warner (C) 12 , Shikhar Dhawan 10)
FOUR! Too short and wide from Southee, and you cannot expect Warner to not feast on such deliveries. Hammered away through the covers! A total of seven runs conceded in the first over of the day. Couple of yorkers from the Kiwi spearhead. McClenaghan keeps it tight in the following over, until the last ball, in which Dhawan pulls a short ball outside leg towards the fine-leg boundary.
