Hyderabad: Kings XI Punjab all-rounder Glenn Maxwell was on Monday fined 25 percent of his match fee for breaching the Indian Premier League (IPL)’s code of conduct against Sunrisers Hyderabad. BCCI[/caption] Hyderabad beat Punjab by five wickets at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium on Saturday. “Mr Maxwell admitted to the level 1 offence (Article 2.1.8) of abuse of cricket equipment or clothing, ground equipment or fixtures and fittings during a match and accepted the sanction of a fine of 25% of his match fee,” an IPL statement said. “For Level 1 breaches of the IPL Code of Conduct, the Match Referee’s decision is final and binding.” Maxwell’s team-mate batsman Shaun Marsh was also reprimanded, receiving an official warning for breaching the code of conduct against Hyderabad in the match. “Marsh admitted the Level 1 offence (Article 2.1.8) of abuse of cricket equipment or clothing, ground equipment or fixtures and fittings during a match.”
