Indian Super League 2017: Atletico de Kolkata retain Debjit Majumder and Prabir Das

The 2017 Indian Super League (ISL) winners Atletico de Kolkata have retained goalkeeper Debjit Majumder and right-back Prabir Das for a period of three years, the club announced on Wednesday.

Kolkata: The 2017 Indian Super League (ISL) winners Atletico de Kolkata have retained goalkeeper Debjit Majumder and right-back Prabir Das for a period of three years, the club announced on Wednesday.

Raghu Iyer, Chief Executive Officer, Atletico de Kolkata, said, "Debjit has been a revelation for ATK as the team's first choice goalkeeper last season. The performance and hard work he had put in proved to be a vital mechanism in our road to success. We are also elated to retain Prabir Das for the forthcoming season."

The Sourav Ganguly co-owned side signed a multi-year contract with these footballers who have effectively ended their association with Mohun Bagan, which will feature in the I-League.

While Debjit had a good season as Atletico de Kolkata goalkeeper playing as the first choice goalkeeper for the red and white brigade, Prabir stole the show on occasions when the coach trusted him to do the duties.
