Sourabh Verna, however, lost his second final after the Belgium Open following some tough contest in the finals against Denmark’s Victor Svendsen. The Indian, who is making a comeback after a series of injuries, fought a gruelling battle before going down 27-29 13-21 in the final. Last evening, Rasika had the most trying time at the court as she fought hard before notching up a 21-17 28-26 win over Malaysia’s Soniia Su ya Cheah. Rituparna, however, didn’t break a sweat as she dumped Julie Macpherson 21-11 21-9 in a lop-sided semifinal contest. Sourabh too outclassed Zii Jia Lee, a qualifier in the event, to set up the final with Victor.
