New Delhi: India fast bowler Ishant Sharma got engaged on Sunday, joining the list of cricketers to have recently exchanged rings with their lady love. The Rising Pune Supergiants pacer got engaged to Pratima Singh, a basketball player, in Delhi. The pacer posted a photo of the ceremony on his Facebook page on Sunday.
His India teammate Rohit Sharma congratulated Ishant while making a tongue-in-cheek remark.
Rohit Sharma is among the host of Indian cricketers who have tied the knot recently, along with Ravindra Jadeja and Irfan Pathan being who both got married earlier this year. Pratima Singh’s sister Prashanti Singh also posted a photo on Twitter congratulating the couple
Ishant Sharma is a part of the Indian squad to tour West Indies in July and the pacer will have to be quick in shrugging off the celebratory mood and get on with the business. Till then though, Sharma can relish the beginning of a new spell in his life. With inputs from PTI
