Defending champions India are currently preparing for the SAFF Cup to be held next month at Bangladesh. The seven-time title holders are grouped with Sri Lanka (ranked 200) and Maldives (150) in Group B of the tournament. India’s next big assignment is the upcoming AFC Asian Cup which kicks-off in January next year. They are placed in the Group A alongside hosts UAE, Bahrain and Thailand. At the top, world champions France have moved up six spots to be ranked first while Belgium are second. Brazil, Croatia and Uruguay complete the top five.
